WARRANT OFFICER CLASS ONE M.S CLARKE
REGIMENTAL SERGEANT MAJOR ROYAL AUSTRALIAN ARMY MEDICAL CORPS

RSM ClarkeWarrant Officer Class One Michael Clarke was born in Sydney on 30th September 1968. He enlisted into the Australian Regular Army on 17th June 1987.

Warrant Officer Clarke has completed numerous postings in both Land Command and Training Command units. They include 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Parachute Training School, 5th/7th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment, B Squadron 3rd/4th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Administrative Support Battalion, 8th/7th Royal Victorian Regiment, Joint Incident Response Unit, 1st Health Support Battalion, Medical School HMAS Cerberus, 9th Combat Service Support Service Battalion and the Army School of Logistic Operations.

In January 2008 Warrant Officer Clarke was posted to the Soldier Career Management Agency as the Career Manager Health Services. In January 2009 he assumed the appointment of Regimental Sergeant Major of the 3rd Health Support Battalion and in June of 2011 he was appointed the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps.

Warrant Officer Clarke’s operational service overseas includes deployments in 1997 and 1998 to Iraq as a weapons inspector with the United Nations Special Commission and to Timor in 2005 as part of the Australian Resuscitation Team Dili.

Warrant Officer Clarke has been awarded the Australian Service Medal – Iraq and East Timor; Defence Long Service Medal; Australian Defence Medal; United Nation Transitional Administration East Timor; Soldiers Medallion and the Military Instructors Badge.

Warrant Officer Clarke enjoys running and is a keen supporter of the AFL.
